Moroccan Bath & Hammam
Ladies-only luxury hammam in Abu Dhabi
The Wave Lounge offers two traditional Moroccan hammam rituals in Abu Dhabi: the 60 minute Saadiyat Hammam at 400 AED and the 90 minute Ceremonial Hammam at 550 AED. Both are performed in a private steam chamber, in a calm, ladies-only setting at our Al Bateen and Hidd Al Saadiyat branches.
What Is a Moroccan Bath?
A Moroccan bath, or hammam, is a centuries old bathing ritual built around steam, black olive soap and a thorough full body exfoliation. "Hammam" is the Arabic word for a bathhouse, and the Moroccan bath is the traditional ritual performed inside it. At The Wave Lounge, every hammam takes place in a private steam chamber rather than a shared bathhouse, so the experience is entirely your own.
You choose the scent of your ritual from three options: Oud, Amber or Orange Honey.

Frequently Asked
Questions
How much is a Moroccan bath in Abu Dhabi at The Wave Lounge?
The Saadiyat Hammam is 400 AED for 60 minutes and the Ceremonial Hammam is 550 AED for 90 minutes. Packages of six sessions are available from 2,000 AED. All prices are subject to 5% VAT.
What is the difference between a Moroccan bath and a hammam?
They refer to the same experience. A hammam is a traditional bathhouse, and the Moroccan bath is the cleansing and exfoliation ritual performed there, using steam, black olive soap and a loofa.
What happens during a Moroccan bath?
In a private steam chamber, your therapist exfoliates the full body with black olive soap and a loofa, applies a textured body scrub, shampoos and conditions your hair, and finishes with a body care oil and hydrating balm. The Ceremonial Hammam adds a Ghassoul clay wrap, a 20 minute back, neck and shoulder massage, and shea body butter.
Is the hammam private?
Yes. Each hammam at The Wave Lounge takes place in a private steam chamber, not a shared bathhouse, and The Wave Lounge is a ladies-only salon and spa.
Which hammam should I choose, Saadiyat or Ceremonial?
The Saadiyat Hammam is a classic 60 minute Moroccan bath. The Ceremonial Hammam is a 90 minute ritual that adds a Ghassoul clay wrap, a 20 minute massage and shea body butter. Choose Ceremonial if you want a longer, more complete experience.
Can I choose the scent of my hammam?
Yes. You can choose between Oud, Amber and Orange Honey.
Is my hair washed during the hammam?
Yes. Both rituals include a shampoo and conditioner, and many guests book a blow dry straight afterwards.
Where can I get a Moroccan bath in Abu Dhabi?
The Wave Lounge offers hammam at its Al Bateen branch in central Abu Dhabi and its Hidd Al Saadiyat branch on the waterfront near Saadiyat Island. Book online or message your preferred branch on WhatsApp.
Do you offer hammam packages?
Yes. The 5+1 Saadiyat Hammam package is 2,000 AED and the 5+1 Ceremonial Hammam package is 2,750 AED, each giving six sessions for the price of five and valid for six months.
Can I have a hammam if I am pregnant?
Please let our team know if you are pregnant when booking, so they can advise on whether the hammam is suitable for you. We also offer a dedicated Pregnancy Massage (60 minutes, 350 AED).
Is hammam included in the bridal packages?
Yes. The 1 Month Bridal Package includes 4 Saadiyat Hammam or body scrub, mask and wrap sessions, and the 3 Month Bridal Package includes 12.
